183A Information

183A is an 11.6-mile toll road operated by Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority . It extends from northwest Austin through Cedar Park and Leander in northwest Williamson County.

183A is a cashless toll road. 183A customers can pay their tolls with a TxTag, TollTag or EZ TAG or they can choose to Pay By Mail. Pay By Mail customers are charged a slightly higher rate than TxTag customers and incur a $1.00 processing charge per bill. Pay By Mail is available on all toll roads in Central Texas, although you may receive separate bills depending on which roads you use.

Manor Expressway

The Manor Expressway, a 6.2-mile, limited access toll road began opening in phases beginning in late 2012. Phase 1 of the Manor Expressway consists of a direct connect flyover interchange at US 183 and US 290 and a 1.4-mile stretch of the project between US 183 and Chimney Hill Boulevard. Phase 2 opened May 17th, 2014, and extends the project from Chimney Hill Boulevard to east of Parmer Lane.

SH 71 Information

SH 71 serves as a major corridor connecting drivers to the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA), the city of Bastrop, and points beyond. The 71 Toll Lane project adds a toll lane in each direction along SH 71 from near Presidential Boulevard at ABIA and extending east near SH 130. These new lanes offer a free-flowing and reliable bypass route for through-traffic, especially during peak hour congestion. Also, the same number of non-tolled travel lanes that were available before construction still remain.

Loop 1 Express Information

The MoPac Express Lane will give drivers the option to bypass congestion on the 11-mile stretch of MoPac between Parmer Lane and Cesar Chavez Street and get to their destination without delay. MoPac is one of Austin's most important arteries, serving as a key route to downtown and points beyond. As a primary alternative to Interstate 35, MoPac carries more than 180,000 cars and trucks each day. By 2030, MoPac is projected to serve more than 320,000 cars a day. Phase I (north of 2222 to Parmer) is currently open to traffic.

Express Lanes are special buffer-separated lanes that use variable tolls to keep traffic moving even when the adjacent lanes are congested. This is accomplished by raising the toll when traffic is heavy and lowering the toll when traffic is light. The lanes provide a non-tolled, congestion-free route for public transit buses and registered vanpools, but also allow individual drivers to pay to use the lane capacity that remains. The Express Lane will be located in the middle of the MoPac corridor, separated from the existing lanes by a four- to five-foot-wide striped buffer zone with flexible plastic sticks. Drivers will be able to access the MoPac Express Lanes at Cesar Chavez Street, at Far West Boulevard and Anderson Lane, or at Parmer Lane.
